  • The cars you refer to are the fakes that run on the river and canal lines. Brand new, fully electronic, nothing like these original Perley Thomas cars. And Portland also uses reproduction cars, although Portland's are more authentic in appearance. The original Council Crest cars are museum pieces.

  • I didn't think it looked like New Orleans. I rode on a couple street cars there in 2003. Great fun...

  • same damn thing

  • It's NOT a trolley....

    It's a StreetCar

  • The official name of the museum has been

Shore Line Trolley Museum for over 35 years.

"Branford Trolley Museum" was dropped at that

time, because the trip begins and the museum

building is in East Haven, CT

  • So cool! I cannot wait to ride one someday..

  • How cool is that!? Here in Portland they have several vintage streetcars that they bring out on saturdays in the summer.

  • You can call it a Trolley anywhere in the world but if you are in New Orleans it goes by the name Streetcar no matter where you stand.

  • nice ride!!!

I love old things. nice to remember

  • EXCELLENT video. I happen to be a motorman at Branford myself and actually enjoyed operating NO 850. Looks like you had a grand ol' time.
