Damn, I was in ROTC drill team and i did indoor percussion too, so I got to see alot of winterguard shows. I have a lot of respect for the guys (and girls) who do this and make it look so easy. Its not easy to spin a rifle reguardless of weight. ROTC macho guys need to come down off their high horse...

@LimblessShadow Comparing ROTC to Color Guard is like comparing a small airplane to a Spaceship. ROTC Rifle is the antiquated version of what modern color guards do.

U do realize this is a rifle routine for a marching band color guard not a JROTC color guard right?!?! I use to do this stuff it is not easy it is a lot harder then the JROTC stuff try dancing ballet running and spinning with drill sets I would know bc my dad is a JROTC instructor and I have done the ROTC stuff with them although the rifles are heavier. The colorguard ones are lighter but u have to do more and have to be more physically and mentally in shape to do the Certain ch

I only have one problem with this. While the techniques to this may be extremely difficult to learn you are basically spinning a stick. At my school we spin with 12 pound M1 Garands. This entire video, with the exception to a few moves, would have been physically impossible Trying to throw the weapon from the butt is nearly impossible. The throw you did at 1:34 would have broken your arm if you tried it with an M1. It is not enough to have good for you should challenge urself with a better rifle

@LimblessShadow ARE YOU SERIOUS??? this is not the same type of stuff you do in ROTC... completely different concepts.... look both up and you will see how vast the difference is... educate yourself!
