Black Nativity

This video honors the tradition of telling the story of Jesus Christ's birth from an ethnic perspective. In this film the Jewish people are represented by traditional black Jews from the Falasha people of Ethiopia and Lemba tribe of South Africa. The music is from the Missa Luba which is the mass sung to Congolese Folk Songs by Les Troubadours du Rei Baudouin.

You concentrate far too much on ethnicity. When you decide to follow Christ and accept him as God and your savior, you become a new creation. Not born of this world, but a child of God! Makes me smile every time i think about it :) God truly is awesome

@artsylovelylady Actually Yeshua (Jesus) the Christ DID have a color. In Revelation 1:15 it says he had feet the color of burned brass (brown-skinned). He re-emphasized this fact when later discussing the church at Thyatira (see Rev. 2:18-19). Also the angel Daniel saw was brown-skin (see Daniel 10:4-6). Abraham was dark-skin (Chaldean), etc. etc. Yeshua still loves all God's children but the truth must be told.

There are all different skin tone of the Yahdai and the 12 tribes! Yahweh different create a new breed of people! He only divided the languages! wake up! and stop deceiving people! For the life of me I cannot understand why black people would want to be associated with Judaism, Christianity, or Islam. These three religions came to black people through conquest and slavery. They are Asian religions which invaded Africa, Europe, and eventually the Americas. All with the same result: OPPRESSION.

It's time for this to stop.

Maybe Christ was every color. After all, he was born at the crossroads of the Old World. He spoke Aramaic, while the Bible says he had bronze skin and hair like lamb's wool. Maybe he did not fit within the narrow definition of a single color that people later became obsessed with as a result of the slave trade.

Read the Bible and you will see that Abraham's seed intermixed constantly with the Ethiopians (Canaanites, Egyptians, Cush); Abraham was born in the land of Shinar which according to Genesis 110:10 was land of Nimrod a son of Cush (Ethiopian); the Bible from Genesis to Revelation is about Ethiopian people and ALL people of African descent are genetically Ethiopians and every person on earth can trace their heritage back to Ethiopia via DNA, including white folk; this is what the Bible teaches!
