Live and Kicking: Christmas Day 1993

The opening of Live and Kicking's Christmas Day 1993 edition, which (somewhat incredibly) genuinely was live. Presented by Andi Peters, Emma Forbes, a young John Barrowman and Ratz, this was the height of Take That mania - hence the plugging that this was their "live" appearance (as they were on What's Up Doc on the other side at the same time!).

L&K next had a Christmas Day programme in 1999, although that time it was on tape - although the January 1st 2000 edition was live a week later.

Can't believe a show like this would have genuinely broadcast live on Christmas day, especially with big stars like Take That and Eternal. I couldn't imagine the 'musicians' of today agreeing to such a performance...
