@SpockLover27 Hehe, well I am a Kirk/Spock lover28... *g* No actually, we have hope, indeed... that such a pure love relationship can exist. That thing he does with his thumb is more than a friendly "I won't let your head smack to the floor", it's a total stolen touch, the way we are used to from the great slash tradition. :D Plus the cheek-stroking after that. It's true that sometimes we exaggerate some scenes to fit our expectations, BUT this is also true for the nature of experience itself.

@amyandlegends Interesting point! It's a very complex thing. Same as Kirk/Spock or Frodo/Sam, I think the uniqueness of it is the most important aspect. Plus, we are talking about different societies here, from our own. But there are elements that most people aren't aware of, such as the soulmate concept? It's something that transcends all boundaries and APPEARS as all these aspects rolled into one, depending on the point of view of the onlooker. Love of the Soul is by nature... shifty. :)
