I grew up in the segregated South, and I know first hand how wrongly American Blacks were treated. As a child, I played with black children who were my friends, but couldn't drink outta the same water fountain as me, or use the same bathroom. I didn't like it then, and I'm glad that things in this country have changed. In regards to this music, it amazes me how much intense spiritual power can be created in conditions of such abject misery and adversity. The human spirit is a marvel...

Not bobbing my head out of the respect of the men who shared their pain of being oppressed simply by being a different color than their oppressors. Listening more to the pain, the frustration, the bottled anger and the passion of being hated and punished for nothing more than being God's creation. This IS NOT "HEAD BOBBING" music.
