Volkswagen Touareg Unlimited Day at Brands Hatch on 23rd April 2009. The VW Touareg is a proper off road vehicle with great ability to get you out of (and into) trouble! Thanks to Touareg Unlimited for a great day.
@LightYagame1 Well, Ive had one for 150K and only had to replace the propshaft. Known issue, but the new shafts have the upgraded hanger bearings. Other then that, its just tires and oil etc... I have had VWs for ages, my Jetta TDI had 450K on it and I only replaced the MAF sensor, nothing else, not even a glow plug. Assit from the timing belts, filters, brakes etc, common schedueled maintenance. Honestly, I like it alot, although I do like the new Ford RAPTOR SVT alot too now!
@Managebi I would love to see your face as the V10 or V12 TDI rip passed you on the highway, then pull into the field beside you and still out perform most vehicles, all while looking a hell of alot better then nearly all other off road and suvs in on or off road classes. I think you are either uneducated in the Touareg's ability or you are simply biased. The touareg was designed with Africa in mind, and if you spent 10 minutes researching its offroad features you would understand this.
@managebi Get a life. You probably can't afford a civic, let alone a touareg. It is not a street car and off road ability is not all about out of date technology and ridiculous lift kits. With the right tyres a touareg will go anywhere a wrangler will, the difference being that on the way home, in a touareg, it doesn't feel like you're still driving a tractor!
i have no idea for what reason vw bring a street car to a trail.Just wanna prove the off road ability?well, for off road,i rate honda civic 1 outta 10,wrangler 10 outta 10,touareg??mabe 3 outta 10.LOL
