  • was this an airline flight? if it was i do believe its against the rules to land the airplane without visibilty of the runway before touch down

  • @mztthew you may be right... You need to see lights or SOMETHING to continue....

I was not videoing this one \\ a co worker was... so It could have been a Lear or a private..// ??? .STILL...Scarey..good call..!!!

  • @BigBearVids CAT 3 is all the way down to minimums.

  • @harge1706 Minimums ...Yes I know .....but no one ever called 'minimums' and said they 'saw' anything -to continue..So- it 'looked' like it was a fully coupled Cat3 approach all the way down.!!!→.they busted threw Mins....and were on the ground before you knew it. Kinda weird. no? or is that the way they do it in Europe ? -A comment by mikeydapilot ~explains it pretty good.

  • @mztthew found out that --Both pairs of eyes are watching the The Autoland system which has to be monitored right down to taxi speed.....any failure at any time would require a go around before landing....

  • "W0X0F" means "INDEFINITE CEILING Zero VISIBLITY Zero DUE TO FOG"

  • @ashokrajarp1982 You forgot the X → (Sky Obscured) good try- google doesn''t know Everything..!

  • How the fuck do you taxi?lol

  • He's not confirming to land on runway 3. In a CATIII ILS approach, the autopilots land the aircaft. The system that does this is called "autoland." There are two components, "Land 2" and "Land 3" and the component used depends on how many autopilots are active. Ideally, all 3 will be operational and "Land 3" will be used. If one autopilot fails, then the system will use "Land 2" as a backup. In conclusion, the pilot is confirming that "Land 3" is still operational, not confirming runway 3.

  • what happened to the 10 and 20 feet callouts?

  • @ken92660 first thing that came to my mind..scroll down to post it and here it is you already posted it!!!!

  • which is the decision height in this type of approaching? is written on the approach chart?

  • FINALLY.....someone posted a REAL cat III landing vid......there are about 10,000 vid of idiots who know exactly shit about nothing posting videos.

this is a CAT III autoland landing.....im an expert and Ill endorse this video

  • @mztthew Since it's cat III 0-0 it is supposed to have no minimums isn't ?

0-0 are performed since the 70th but are very rare

  • i need a system like that for my car

  • @mztthew CAT III minimums are 0/0 lol

  • CATIIIB is subdivided into an approach WITH &WITHOUT a decision height (DH). With a DH, the limit in quesiton is 50ft with an RVR not less than 75m. A pilot may NOT continue the approach below the DH unless visual refrence with one centreline light is attained and can be maintained.

No DH ops require NO visual refrence to the runway prior to landing but an RVR of 75m is still required for taxiing.

  • during a CAT III landing, there is no minimums. you have to be specialy trained to be able to do this type of landing. the autoland system takes the plane all the way to the ground and once it lands you have to disarm the autoland system and it is not a simple process of just turning it off because of the redundency of the system. the outer middle and inner markers tell you how far out and how high you should be and if your altitude is off or airspeed at a fixed point you go missed

  • Holy crap!!! Even FSX on 1/16 mile visibility isn't as bad as that!
