Longwood Medical Area of Boston

The Longwood Medical and Academic Area (also referred to ask the Longwood Medical Area, LMA, or just Longwood) is an area in Boston, Massachusetts that boasts a very high density of hospitals, colleges, and biomedical research centers. The Longwood Medical Area can be located between the Fenway/Kenmore areas and Mission Hill. It is centered on Longwood Avenue and runs between Huntington Avenue and Brookline Avenue. The MBTA Green Line stop services both of these intersections. (Longwood at Brookline - Green Line "D" Train) and Longwood Medical Area at Huntington Ave - Green Line "E" Train.
