Unboxing my brand new ASUS N53SN Laptop for you, definitely a well-designed laptop at the perfect price point!

Can definitely play Crysis on High (Not very high very well..) and most games with the details turned up quite a bit. Some games you most likely won't be able to enable the features that take advantage of DX11 or DX10 in some cases.

At $800 it blows my $1300 low-range HP Pavilion 1323TX out of the water in almost every single way except the hard drive RPM which seriously ruins the seek-time for files.

  • Did you ever get BF3 or Arma to work?

  • @BigCheex Yes I managed to get BF3 running on a mix of Medium/High settings fairly well actually. Sorry for no video, I just haven't had time in the last 3 months for a really long video.

  • What about the speakers? Have you used them yet? I love my music and it's considerably a big selling point for me. I'm only looking for something that can fill a small room whilst still giving out good quality.

I've heard a lot about the Bang & Olufsen (whatever they are) speakers.

  • @jrand63 The speakers are honestly fantastic.

They are the BEST speakers I have ever had in a laptop. They sound great and they are nice and loud.

They are even better then the speakers inside my HP laptop which I considered to be pretty good.

They may not be the best, but gosh they are definitely pretty good. Very happy with them and I was surprised when I heard them. :)

  • @GuideToUsing Oh wow, that's awesome! Any idea as to how your fps were? What settings were you playing on? Think I could max it?

  • @CertainAffinity7 FPS was averaging around the mid 40's on the recommended settings detected by the game (High for almost everything, turned off AA myself, left the rest of the settings as-is).

Definitely playable, no complaints really. :)

  • You have an EPIC fucking mouth son!!

  • @GuideToUsing No worries, thanks for the quick reply.

  • @ulquiorra2129 Sorry for the insanely late reply, but I would recommend the N55SF, it comes with a more powerful GPU which is more important for gaming, any CPU's that come with that laptop will suffice for almost all gaming.

  • @GuideToUsing Oh, and two more things (sorry), what's the battery life like? Should I keep it plugged into a power source and use it at a desk most of the time? And how heavy/portable is it?

    Thanks again, that's it :)
