Since the airport at Wrens, GA (65J) does not have fuel, I needed to fly up to Thomson, GA (KHQU) to fill up. This is my departure from Thomson to return home to Leesburg.
The video captures my VFR takeoff with airborne activation of what was supposed to be my filed IFR flight plan. Due to some mixup, my plan was not on file as expected, but the helpful Augusta controller was able to quickly get it into the system.
There was a scattered cloud layer over southern Virginia with tops right at my 9000 foot cruising altitude. The video closes with my night landing back at home base.
