When I first heard this album when it came out in 1989 , I was hooked on it ! Totally great and Huey & The News are musical geniuses !

@smidsyonfire Me too - and I'm 32! Never ended up buying it on CD, yet I just found Sports in a used bin at my local CD store and it was like finding money in a jacket you haven't worn in ten (or twenty ) years. Great stuff.

My dad turned me onto Huey & The news when I was a kid, and would take me to San Fran from San Jose to have 'Huey Days' off from elementary school. My dad also played sax well enough to get a college scholarship for it, and when this came out, my learned knowledge of Stan Getz culminated in loving this album like all hell. Play this shit at my wedding, my funeral, my sentencing to life in prison. Goddamn I love this album.
