STRAIGHT RAZOR SHAVE SHAVING HOW TO PERFORM A 3 Pass Wet Shave with a BOKER EDELWEISS Straight Razor. Using a Vulvix 660 Large Badger Brush, Art of Shaving Shaving Cream or Soap From a Tub using a German Made Straight Razor.
A) Shower with Hot Water & Wash Beard with Soap
B) Soak Badger Brush in Cup of Hot Water for 2 Minutes
C) Fill Sink with Hot Water
D) Apply shaving cream to Tips of Badger Brush
E) Apply Hot Water to Beard/Do Not Dry Off
F) Apply Shaving Cream or Shaving Soap to Beard
1) First Pass Straight Down With The Grain
2) Second Pass From Ear to Nose Across The Grain
3) From South to North / Upward Motion.
4) Rinse with Hot then Cold Water.

I have never shaved with a straight razor before, but it seems like all those passes with the blade would irritate your skin? But i guess if you do it a lot , it wouldn't.

Your skin becomes accustomed to it. no problems.

@geofatboy Great video. Must watch for gents new to the straight razor experience. I just started and was struggling with my technique. This video has shortened my learning curve. After about 20 shaves I am now able to get a nice clean 3 pass shave with no nicks or cuts. Technique keeps evolving but thanks to you I am now a total convert and will be a straight razor guy for the rest of my shaving days!

great vid geo, could you suggest a straight razor 4 someone just starting out into the world of bad-ass shaving, ive never used a straight razor yet and im looking to buy one to get me started, does difference between them just come down to look preference at the end of the day, cheers for any suggestions.

So if I understand that video, there's no way to shave XTG in a left-to-right motion on the throat and under the chin? I was trying to do that earlier today (I use an injector straight razor for now) and couldn't figure it out. I ended up shaving upwards, which is ATG on my face.

I really appreciate your posting this video. I am trying to decide between straight razor or safety razor. I can't use electric - breaks me out every time. I am tired of spending so much on replacement cartridges. I also am a survivalist and if you get a good straight razor, you'll never need to buy another blade/cartridge, etc. Good quality video, too! Thank you again.
