Gm got to greedy and start making to many cars.... quantity over quality....what they should have done is keep american car tradition meaning big car, big engine and made them as fuel efficient, more reliable, accept making cheap small over priced cars.

I agree with you 100% my friend. But don't get a heart attack over this or you wont see the end of the "Big 3". Which will come sooner or later, even the government cannot sustain a non-profitable company. Obama is a sell out, he does the opposite of what he says, just like most bad U.S. presidents. All you can do is educate the public the best you can because that is the only reason why Ford, GM, and Chrysler are still there... ignorance.

Without the big 3 in this country you wouldnt be able to purchase your camera or the place yoy;re are in. What you are saying is justified, but are you ok with hundreds of thousands of people being out of work? You are paying for that too(as a tax payer)!!!

Already a lot more than hundreds of thousands unemployed in this country. Putting money into failed businesses and failed business models is never the answer. The UAW sank GM and Chrysler, and they'll sink them again. Meanwhile there are entrepreneurs who are saying to themselves "You know what? I can do this better." New jobs will be created if we give free market a chance; conversely the more our crooked govt gets involved, the more jobs will ultimately be lost.

Grandparents always drove Cadillacs until my grandfather found it too hard to ignore that a Lexus was a superior car. Every car I've owned was assembled in Japan. Every one I got used. Both of my Integras I sold still running great with 190,000 miles. Minimum maintenance. 84 Toyota 4WD truck I beat like a rented mule, and it still ran great. My WRX wagon I'll bet the farm will be just as reliable.. Simple economics, you want me to buy American? Build an f'ing better automobile.

LOSER!!! go drive your shitty Toyota...Toyota is a union defying company and their products are turning to shit. GM had over 80 years of profitability and just one bad year clearly it was worth bailing them out. BTW the government will not give $5000 towards a GM vehicle and they never did ...OK with Cash for Clunkers you could get $3000-$4500 but that applied to all automakers and it is now long over

One bad year?! GM filed chapter 11. For most companies that's game over. You know what a loser is? A thief. Every GM employee should be kicking rocks looking for a job that pays MARKET VALUE. Wahhhh! We want more money so let's steal from the rest of the US taxpayers. You guys suck. What a bunch of losers.

Ford posted a $1 billion dollar profit while GM posted a $1.5 billion dollars loss. Ford did not take our money & are turning things around on their own while GM sucks on out wallets.
