Originally assembled in St. Louis on November 17, 1965, this gorgeous 1966 Corvette Convertible is in very nice condition, and has plenty of eye appeal with its hardtop, side exhaust, and goldline tires. Paint on this car is recent, and is in very good condition with a deep shine. Convertible top looks to be older and is showing some typical staining, but nonetheless has a relatively clear window. A matching auxiliary hardtop is available for an additional $1,700. Chrome bumpers look to be recent reproductions, and are in very good condition. Exterior door handles are in good original condition with no pitting or other issues, and the taillights are also in good condition with no apparent cracking. Weatherstripping is recent, and in very good condition as well. All exterior glass shows a correct date code, including the windshield. This 1966 Corvette Convertible wears correct 1966 hubcaps in good original condition. Tires are brand new BF Goodrich Silvertown bias-ply reproduction goldlines with an average of 9/32nds tread depth remaining. The interior of this car shows brand new seat covers and carpet in excellent condition, and very good condition dash pads and door panels. Gauges are in good original condition with some fading and a working clock. A Jensen cassette player has taken the place of the original AM/FM radio. Original GM seatbelts are in place. Center console is in good condition; steering wheel is in fair condition. The numbers matching engine in this 1966 Corvette Convertible shows casting date November 8, 1965, and final assembly date November 10, 1965. Intake manifold and alternator show correct casting numbers. A set of 350hp style finned aluminum valve covers have been added, as well as a Holley carburetor. Ignition shielding is in place, and the frame is clean and rust-free.
