One, of the many things that make her lyrics so wonderful, is her complete honesty. You feel her living through these songs. Umbrella has always been my favorite album by them. It's such a mood album, capturing and holding it 'till the very end. Karen Peris is a very special person!

This is one of the most incredible song ever created by anyone in history
it's just heart wrenching to such human expression of pain, truth and hope.
The Innocence Mission..should be in the hall of Fame
they are so underrated and so magical like the Cocteau Twins

@Killahboot Actually, that honor would go to Steve Kilbey. :-) But Karen's pretty great too.

What amazing lyrics!! How much God must love humankind if such songs exist to bless one's ears and heal one's soul and restore one's spirit. God bless the Innocence Mission. They do accomplish their mission quite successfully!

Normally I don't like guitars, but they play it very emotional. Nice arrangements.

Karen Peris.... the greatest, most underrated singer/songwriter on this earth. Shockingly and gorgeously beautiful and evocative.

Haven't heard this since 1991. Now I can't stop listening to it. Again.
Thank you.
