I'm starting the master cleanse today. Its bascially a lemonade fast. Consisting of organic lemons or limes, pure water, cayenne pepper, and real maple syrup.

ALong with this its beneficial to drink detox herbal teas, take a sea salt flush (drink some sea salt in water) and its good to take some bentonite clay to absorb toxins that are leaving the body, and enemas are reccomended as well!

  • I did the lemon fast for 28 days last year and then just did the vegetable soup for 2 weeks and then the lemon fast for 14 days and inside of a month after that my hair started to fall out and i did some research on it and found out that hair is 97% protein and need it so I'm going to do the lemon fast again but I am going to incorporate a protein powder with it once a day for my protein so the hair fallout does not happen again! just wanted to warn people about the hair thing that happen..

  • that shouldnt happen. You must have had an underlying issue already, because that really shouldnt happen. It sounds like you may have done it a bit too long tho....

    Personally I prefer juice fasts....with lots and lots of greens. With that...its more than enough nutrition to keep you going and then some!

  • DON'T DO THESE FASTS!

    Fasts DON'T work. Yes, you could lose weight but you're missing ALL the vital nutrients that you can only get from certain sources! Even supplements can't give you all you need.

    EAT RIGHT. EAT HEALTHY. GRAZING IS GOOD. EXERCISE.-best weight loss plan you will EVER have.

    Plus, after you loose the weight, it will be HARDER to KEEP it off!

  • Actually...fasts are very good for you. They give your digestive system a rest and a chance for your body to clean and detox. Weight loss is just a nice bonus.

    Green juice fasts are much better to because you do get everything you need if you do it right and it gives you super quantities of nutrients!

  • i cant believe everybody is jumping on the bandwagon with these ridiculous fad diets. just exercise and eat healthy you lazy fat fucks!

  • They aren't. Nutrients are best if you get them from where they were ORIGINALLY! Detoxes don't work.. if you ask a nutritionist, the best way to loose weight is to eat right and EXERCISE-burn more than you consume while still getting all the nutrients to keep you healthy. You do NOT want to loose more than 1 pound a week. Plus if you do a wasteful "detox", you're going to most likely binge eat afterwards & your metabolism slows down. (which is why grazing works)

  • Thanks! The same with you! I discovered tho...I REALLY dislike the master cleanse. I LOVE to do juice fasting...making fresh green vegetable juices (and the occasional treat of fruit juice)

    I also enjoyed doing a raw fruit and some vegetable fast (just eating raw fruits and veggies, no salt, no oil, no fatty fruit like avocado etc....

    and no spices....that one I REALLY enjoyed!
