What is so hard about the idea of live and let live?
Why does one group of people think they get to dictate how our own government treats us?! We're just as much of citizens as they are.
If you think being gay is wrong, that's fine! Deal with it privately; you have no right to take our civil rights away because of your religion. Suppose my religion says being Christian is wrong and I have the majority, do I get to take away YOUR marriage, or make it okay to fire you for being Christian?

oh man. That's rich. lol.

I'm actually for gay marriage but I looked up those court cases that they mentioned and they're absolutely right about everything they talk about. Seriously go look up the court cases, no matter what the outcome someone's going to get screwed by this.

Yeah, exactly. It also makes no sense that they think gay marriage will be "taught" in schools, as if mentioning gay marriage is currently illegal in school (it's not), and that this vote will change things. Also, it also confuses me that they think they own the public school. Hello, there are children of gay parents in school! We deserve equal treatment. We should be free to talk about our families. It's not like school is some sort of gay-free zone.

What always boggles my mind is this... if these people do not want children to know about same-sex marriage, why did they start up a freaking state-wide campaign with signs and billboards and radio and TV ads??? My God, they just ensured that every single kid in Maine knows about gay marriage now and will be talking about it. Doesn't that kind of defeat their purpose? I bet most kids would never even have noticed otherwise.

Yes the audio tapes of GLSEN are public. They tried to stop it but could not..

voteyesonquestion1, teaching "fisting" to a 12 year old, really?

Like no fault divorce created a multi $ billions divorce industry, Same se nuptial would create a flood of lawsuits. it has already started. Sherri Gould, thegay activist, teacher of the year knows about the K-12 education plan to promote homo sex in Maine. It is on line. Everybody cn see it. She is also part of GLSEN who want to teach about" fisting" to 12 years old. It is on line too.

the californians bought the same lies and voted yes on 8. are people from maine gonna believe this? probably no. let's hope so! first: how many lawsuits are in mass. against "individuals and organizations"? second: why would they teach gay marriage in schools? third: so what if they teach about the fight for equal rights? you haters make me sad and angry in the same time!

This ad scares me. What's with the spooky horror slasher music in the background?
It's one of the worst ads of this sort that I've ever seen. Even looking at it through objective eyes: It's terrible! And thoroughly non-Maine.
