The bottom line is, McCain wanted Lieberman on the ticket and was told, emphatically, NO. In a characteristic fit of rage, he chose the most ridiculous person he could find after meeting her for exactly five hours. True story.

This campaign has been a revelation about so many....for example, I once respected cokie roberts...but she has been shown to be more interested in defending the woman than in what is best for the country...I used to dislike Peggy Noonan but this campaign has shown her to be a truly thoughtful person who is more concerned about the country than her party....I used to have disdain for limbaugh and hannity...well, I still do have disdain for them!
