I love sweet potatoes, but I tend to like them better fried, than cooked any other way. French fries, potato chips/crisps, or hash browns, they're just wonderful, but I don't care for sweet mashed potatoes.
They go really well with a dash of cayenne pepper (particularly the chips), and they're great with bacon, aged cheddar, and/or real maple syrup.
Hmmm...I bet some clever person could come up with a tasty recipe for a savory sweet potato pie that used bacon, cheddar, and maple syrup...

@VALsacount2 Alton Brown isn't Jewish. He actually explains it in his salt special and Honey Badger is correct Jewish cuisine is wonderful.

@amerein2006 I have a lovely, large electric wafflemaker, bought cheap and second hand. It was one of the old-fashioned metal ones. It made such lovely waffles. Then it broke and I had to throw it out. All the replacements I saw for it were just awful. They were small and didn't heat well. I'd like another old-fashioned one but they're so expensive. :`(

I hate it.

Sweet potatoes are delicious, quick, and healthy!
Pop one, wrapped in a paper towel, in a microwave for 4 mins!

@BigStupidFingers Depends on taste and intent. i use sea salt for some, kosher for other dishes.
Easy as handling the sweet potato may be, I would pay to see Alton break out a chainsaw.
