Bruce's criticisms of Hollywood are getting harder to take nowadays when his own movies are bad too. Bubba Ho Tep was great, a perfect example of how to do an original film on scale, but since then he hasn't really done anything interesting imo. Can't believe he turned down Bubba Nosferatu because of 'script issues'. like his scripts are any better? seriously.

There will be no evil dead remake in the foreseeable future. The idea was shot around and Sam and Ted and Bruce decided against it. Sam wanted to retain creative control. They are now reportedly slowly writing a sequel script (most of it done in Sam's garage)
