Well I'm transitioning and I haven't had a relaxer since May ! I'm going to start taking your advice about oils and stuff but let's say I start doing braids . Would it be a bad idea to do sew-ins ? Since I'm transitioning , the hairstyles are becoming very limited so could I just braid it and do a sew-in
@prettynred2 I have not noticed it dry my hair out. However, I had a mishap recently where one brand of vodka opened my cuticles instead of closing it. So I would be weary of what kind you try. But that may have happened to me because I put a chemical in my hair a few months ago that opened my cuticles (maybe perminantly). I know I have heard a lot of people use vodka and it works. But maybe people who have used chemicals should not try it.
Wow, I should have watched this video before I went natural. I did a lot of damage to my hair when I started my natural journey. It has taken 2 months for me to get my hair somewhat under control. The back of my head didn't need the big chop because it broke off when I started my journey. But, I'm still glad I went natural.
how long have you been natural?
