Repost of your original video with music. I do not own the rights to this video. Belongs to the artists listed below:

"The Largo weapon or 'Bugsay' is broken down into 3 ranges Corto, Medio, and Largo (Short, Medium, and Long). When applying within the flow, practitioners executes various possible strikes all the while the martial artists is constantly aware of the range and is able to move in and out of these range naturally, consciously, and strategically (closing the gap, stealing the range, staying clear). Maestro Sonny Umpad's Visayan style Corto Kadena footwork blends in 'Moro' movements and makes Umpad's footwork and pendulum not only practical but also integrates practitioners of different styles and systems to flow with one another to share, play, and even spar.
One of the many dreams of Umpad is uniting the arts for all to share.

IN this video, friends and students of Umpad demonstrates the 'personality' of the Largo, its ranges, and flow.

R.I.P Maestro Sonny Umpad ~ Your Art Lives in us.

  • Wow, I like it. I've been training in the Filipino martail arts for a long time. And even I didn't know you could do such a thing? FANTASTIC!

  • Yeah, youtube disabled the Curtis Mayfield song on their original vid. Too bad I never got a chance to learn from them when I lived in the bay area. But still check out the other vids he put up. They rock!

  • Yeah, I didn't make the video, just uploaded it with the same audio track. The original filmmaker didn't respond when I posted this up with Superfly theme. It's not the same w/o the song. Still love the choreography though.

  • Sweet! I saw this video before with the Superfly theme - then when I recently tried to watch it again...The music was gone! Now, here it is again! Thanks. It's better with the music.
