  • Happy one year anniversary JC. As I sip some german late harvest (spatlese) riesling, I am dreaming of Thailand. I found a condo/apartment website with some beautiful rentals for $220 to $300 per month. They look so wonderful to me. Meals will cost $200 per month? Well, if they fire me tomorrow, I will be alright. Peace and Health, Lancer

  • @lancer89032 Thank you and I appreciate the congrats. Enjoy that Riesling and see you over here before too long I am sure.

  • Hi, Rich sent this to me. LA didn't work out for him, he's back in Atlanta, his business does have hope I think, he plans to move to Thailand and teach. Greetings from an American expat in France. I came here to get healthcare.

  • @slobomotion Hey Welcome! I think he Rich would have less stress living over here for sure. How expensive is it to live in France? Besides the health-care!

  • Great video. Thanks for the upload.

JC, so far had you met any Singaporean or Malaysian retiree in Chiang Mai?

Or is there an internet link to their community that I could get to more information?

  • @karmlan123 Haven't met any but that doesn't mean they aren't here. Maybe a Google search would pull out something. We should start a group in my membership section where they all could communicate.

  • Thai people also get together and make dinner for each other... soooo inexpensive.. community love.... Hope to see you guys soon..

  • Also, the FIRST 6 MONTHS living ANYWHERE is the HONEYMOON period. Usually after 6 months ur either going to have adapted or will be bouncing off the walls!

30bt meals are great but keep in mind the portionsare small.U man need two 30 bt plates, but its stilll cheap! I would AVOID the food carts on the very, very busy streets of BKK. All the pollution particulates land on the food and u CAN get sick! Stick to busy stir-fried food carts.Food court food is a great cheap option!Downside:PALM OIL!

  • Mai Phen Rai: It sounds kool, and it some extent it is, until U WANT SOMETHING DONE! If you are the type of person that has to get things done and are GOAL ORIENTED, U MAY HAVE ISSUES in Thailand. Many farangs are not used to the Sabi-Sabi mentality. The Mai Phen Rai-Sabi Sabi attitude has its good and bad points. Things get done, but u have to be patient! Sometimes VERY patient.

  • @retirecheapjc I have a total of about 1000 videos up on two YouTube channels and on Dailymotion. My website is cutecatfaith d com and I am a consultant. But I put a lot up there for free! Have you read the book PATPONG SISTERS by the late Cleo Odzer? If so, what did you think? If not, I hope you do! xo

  • @retirecheapjc Thank you JC. You're so friendly.
