Hey, does anybody (or you specifically, manavk, as you seem very well-read on the subject) know a good site for buying either an esraj or a dilruba?
-
the bow with which he plays is a esraj or other instrument? Thanks
-
The Esraj is always played in the same string?
From all videos I've seen from Dilrubas, Esraj and Taus, the players always play in the same string...

Oh my Sajuuk, this reminds me so much of the music from Homeworld 2, mainly because they also used Esraj instruments as well as very middle eastern star ships to accompany it.
good job, I recommend that you upload more!
Merry Kadeshimas and a happy new GSY!

as far as I know :
1) shape of the bottom part (sound box)
2) placement of main playing string
3) size . Esrajs are normally a bit smaller
4) they sound slightly different. The esraj resonates a bit less , the dilruba resonates all over the place.
that's about it i think. They're VERY VERY Similar.
There are 2 different playing styles also. Some people play using the Index finger as the primary one.
I have been taught to play using my middle finger as the primary one.

In addition, the placement of the sympathetic strings. The dilruba has (I believe) 4 sympathetic strings that attach at the neck, whereas the esraj does not
