  • @BrianPicchi Well, I never played all the way through it. It might offer a more arcade like experience on the NES. If you say so, I'll trust you on it. I know the NES had a greater capability of using extra memory on the cartridges so it makes sense they had the longer game.

  • @TheCarambah

The c64 offered a beautiful 8-bit rendition of Chopin's prelude, but seriously, that's it. It only had like 3-4 levels if I recall and I beat it in less than 20 minutes. The NES version on the other hand is arguably the most challenging NES game of all time (challenging by design, and not through cheap deaths)

  • The commodore wins this one. Albeit bit more detail in the NES version, but the sound is horrendous.

  • Amstrad CPC by a mile despite the lack of scrolling.

  • the amstrad version's music is by dave witaker, even though it sounds like criss huelsbec is involved.

You should do the homebrew atari 800 version which is pretty faithful to c64 verion.

    Spesxy version is terible!

NES version is pretty authentic, perhaps more so than the c64 version.

c64 version is pretty good, and was elite's first arcade port.

  • The C64 version is ... look at the attention to detail of the explosions - there are about 5 frames of animation in here. The music you get is much better too. NES is next best / or equal. I think the NES has emulator issues here, it is smoother than this.

  • Ive always noticed that the C64 had a washed out looking colour pallete

  • @crazycroft32 i do agree yhe colour pallete is not good

  • NES version, because it's most accurate.

  • NES version was the most accurate. It's my choice.
