That's easy. It is well documented how the Romans massacred the people of Jerusalem and Alexandria following a major Jewish revolt in both cities, and those not enslaved fled to the east, to India, Iran, etc, and north as far as Russia. Further, the 11 appostles of Jesus were each assigned a part of the known world to spread the gospel to, and Thomas was given southern India. It is known amongst those who bother to learn that he established a church there, which survives to this day.
