Hey Jrockers & J-street fashion lovers!
Monster here. =^_^=

Here's a little tutorial on how to give some Tokyo life to an old pair or plain pair of jeans/pants.

Materials:
Regular acrylic or fabric paint
Paint brush
X-acto knife
Scissors
Cardboard
Plastic mixing palette or something similar
Stamps
Stencils
Whatever else you want to decorate your pants with

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

Turn your pants inside before washing so the designs will last longer. Only iron on the wrong side of the fabric, if needed. DO NOT iron on the designs otherwise the paint will transfer onto the iron and getting it off/buying a new iron isn't fun.

Hope you enjoy the tutorial!

Songs:

"Honey Vanity" by Kozi
"Heart of the Sword" by L'arc en ciel

  • Omg I feel so late in saying this but kozi from malice mizer has a solo career!! Wow but what about yuki?

  • @hamstersl101

I have no idea what he's up to. Maybe he's taking a break from it all.....even if it is a couple of years! lol

  • Your video is awesome! The songs are too whats the name and artist please? Also I have never heard or seen that knife you used where could I get one?

  • @hamstersl101

The first song is by Kozi and it's called Honey Vanity. The second is by L'arc en Ciel and I believe it's called Heart of the Sword.

As for the knife, it's an xacto knife which you can purchase in any art store like Utrecht. I think you can also get them at home improvement stores such as home depot.

  • awsome tutorial I LOVE IT^^ (btw i think heart of sword is by nishigawa takanori)

  • @BlackRoseOfEternity

Maybe Nishigawa Takanori made the song first?

All I know is that L'arc en Ciel did it too. XD

  • the song is by tm revolution haha oh and wow thats great!

  • can i get the same vid but whitout your pants on?

  • i've been wanting to do somthing with my old jeans, this is a great idea ^_^

  • hmm I'm not much for rips (I beat my jeans up enough for those normally) but I do like adding some stamps and stencils. Still, 面白いだ

  • good job O_O

  • @WawakiDesu Wearing is inevitable. The best way to combat this as well as keeping your jeans looking good in general is to turn them inside out before washing. If you really want to prolong it, wash it by hand but that's a bit impractical isn't it? lol

  • just a question^^ with that paint...can u still wash the pants. and doesn't it rubb off with time?

  • Awesome ideas and you very cute!!!

  • that's called destroying your pants.

  • AMAZING!! I'll definitely have to try this out! :D

  • lol

Nope. I'm graduating from college this January. So that makes me kinda old!

  • Ur pretty hot. R u in high school?

  • you're really kawaii :)

  • I have no idea! XD

I just googled it and wikipedia says it was first played on the 7th episode of Ruroni Kenshin.

  • the second song...what anime was that from?

  • coolll :D

  • This is awesome. I was looking around for something to spice up some old bleached pants that got a bit dull. Thanks a bunch! <3
