@fluffy1931 GDP means nout china is richer than US
-
To me, this reason is same thing like911

@asas2jh ..,And Chinese scholars have suggested the government diversify its investment of foreign exchange reserves away from dollar-dominated assets, but its central bank, given its limited power and capability, has not been able to do so.
China's GDP is about 25 percent of that of the United States, and its per capita GDP is only 5 percent of the US's.China's motivation for investing in US securities represents a unilateral action in order to take care of its fast growing foreign reserves.
-
@fluffy1931 They would redeem the money into RMB in order to invest in their own economy which has almost twice the growth rate as the US economy. The US government holdings might 'hold' alot of debt but they are also the creators of the exact same debt. Its like taking your debt from your Mastercard and placing it onto your Visacard and shifting it around in a debt circle. Its called 'circular kiting' which is illegal unless the government does it.
-
@asas2jh Why would China redeem the money into RMB when it can parking it in USD?
The Federal Reserve system of banks and other US intragovernmental holdings account for a $4.806 trillion in US Treasury debt.
hahaha....he think U.S. is sitting on lots of oil??? hahahaha......was he day dreaming or just plain dumb??

Define "alien" please, because I am apparently not studied enough to fully understand the term. Oh never mind, just got a dictionary, and it seems that "alien" is defined as anyone that an American views as different (from a white man of course) from his universe (aka America), did I get it right? I hope I did.
