The construction of a modern railway line that will replace the century old Kenya-Uganda railway will begin in March 2011. Kenya Railways Managing Director, Nduva Muli says the Mombasa to Nairobi section will be completed by mid 2013, and finally reach Kisumu in 2016.
I took that train. It does its job. I guess it's most important for freight.

Hey buddy, do you remember poverty eradication by 2010? Maybe you don't remember that one but those Kenyans who have are in the right to be pessimistic.
A country ruled by the kind of monkeys we have ruling us, will definitely have a surplus of pessimists. What we need are five year plans that set small goals that are quantifiable. Our leaders have found a way to set plans in motion that they will not be present to account for.

follow the kenyan politics of tribalism, grand corruption beeseeched by lack of basic services. we can't even settle IDP's and even provide food for our citizens and yet you are talking vision 2030!!! and you criticize us for complianing??? unemployment rate in kenya is at 70%? when Kenyatta took power they said by 2000 evry home will have piped water and electricity. Live long enough to see 2030 and see for yourself. Kenyan ploiticians are USELESS gabbage.
