Haiti One Year: UN Foundation provides safety for women and children

The UN Foundation is a public charity created by Ted Turner to support the work of the UN. We are focused on supporting the UN as it helps Haiti recover and rebuild since the devastating earthquake. Part of the funds we have raised were granted to the UN Population Fund (UNFPA) for maternal health kits as well as solar street lights to keep women safe at night. The UN has a long-term rebuilding effort, an effort to build back better, and funds are still desperately needed.
