Oh man!! I ran with Ryan Schumacher at Waubonsie Valley High School when I was a freshman. It was awesome hearing his name at the finish at 3:13.

Nice work champ! Yep, thats one of the worst experience in winter. While running, my hands go numb as well. Now a days its summer here (And like 40 degrees sometimes!!) and its another extreme when running a few hundred meters itself leave me exhausted and de-hydrated. Overall though, I would rather prefer cold weather to hot one for running long distances.

It was freezing most of our cross country team volunteered to pass out water and gatorade it was a fun experience but my hands were so cold during the whole race we were there at like 6 in the morning to get everything set up

How was the Chicago like on 11th October? Very chill or hot?? I was viewing this recording on tele and the guy who came first was awesome - 2:05 .. I could not even dream to be like his pace. I did Melbourne Marathon in 4:31 first time and 4:16 this year :( How can someone run for 2 hours at 3 min per K pace and known as "long distance runner" . Even if he runs a 5K race I bet he would get a place.

It was my first marathon. Amazing. I crossed mile 2, and Sammy was at mile 4 or 5. Unreal how fast he runs. Hope to see you guys next year!
