This little woman was a powerhouse vocalist who knew when to be powerful & when not to be. Something many of today's female vocalists are unfamiliar with. Today it's all about showboating, vocal gymnastics & the soul of the lyric is lost lost lost. Many couldn't compete with Timi as a stylist -- just watch her live version here on YouTube of "You'll Never Walk Alone." One of the few female vocalists who could stand toe to toe with the best of Elvis -- who, loved Timi Yuro.

Timi had a huge folllowing by gay people, and they don't forget talent and have stayed faithful to her for many years. Timi was well aware of this, as she appeared in gay clubs in Holland and brought the roof down

I only found out Timi every existed two days ago and already she is one of my favourite all time singers. Like people say the days of really good music are passed with very few exceptions.

The voice is wonderful, but the piano playing sounds in one or two places as if he's had a couple of drinks
