@missphyllislevine Don't get me wrong - it's one of my favourites too. I also have a copy.I just think it's one of the few sounds that was perfect for the time but harder to embrace today.Yourfirstgasbill has also made it clear that he struggles to keep the dance floor going with it. Like I say, it's one of my favourites, but perhaps only properly understood and felt,at a moment in time, by various districts in America back in 1968.

@yourfirstgasbill that's no surprise that very few of today's crowd get it. The song had a different vibe and meaning back in 1968.

I would put it down as Boogaloo rather than Funk... It's an awesome track, but I've yet to find a crowd that dig it enough to dance to it, it has the effect of a tear gasser on the dancefloor!
