Best Friends Animal Society has partnered with Salt Lake County Animal Services to form the Salt Lake County Pit Crew. This partnership is part of Best Friends Animal Society's Shelter Partners for Pit Bull programs. To learn more about these programs across the country, go to:

These programs work to change negative stereotypes about Pit Bulls and Pit Bull mixes and increase shelter adoptions. This video explains Pit Bull Playgroups which are taking place in shelters involved with these programs.
So you have a play area full of pit bulls/mixes and they aren't tearing each other to shreds? Don't let those in favor of BSL see the video - it completely destroys any credibility they have. Unfortunately these pups aren't someones furkids yet but they demonstrate what pibbles are all about - LOVE. As with any dog socialization and training are key to their success.

Hooray for you Salt Lake County. Pit Bulls are wonderful dogs. If they're going to be afraid, it will usually be of humans not other dogs. You have the right idea about getting them adopted. As always, Best Friends is at the forefront of the best ideas to make adoption happen.

People always ask me if my pibble is dangerous. I always tell them only if they're allergic to cuddles and/or kisses.
