What is MEPS like? BEHIND THE SCENES!

This video will give you a brief overview of your day at MEPS. Be prepared to start early, usually 5:00 am.

Do not bring:
Weapons (knives, pocketknives, box cutters, leatherman tools etc.)
Cell Phones with cameras (They will be confiscated) You can use the MEPS phone.
Cameras
Tobacco or cigarettes
Lighters or matches
Drugs (obviously) unless they are prescribed but keep them in the prescribed container and bring prescription as well.

Bring:
Prescription glasses
ID
Social security card

Do not wear:
Tank tops
Cut off sleeves
Booty Shorts
Flip flops or similar sandals
High heels
Halter / Tube tops
Clothing with vulgar, profane of offensive patches, pictures, words, etc.
Make sure you wear underwear, no thongs, boy shorts or similar.
Women make sure you wear a bra, sports bras or ok.

Bring a book or reading material as you will be waiting most of the day.
Bring snacks or a light bag lunch if you like but MEPS will provide you all meals for the time you're there.

You will have an extremely long day. Make sure you get adequate rest the night prior.

I've been a recruiter for the National Guard for 6 years, I can answer most questions about MEPS or enlistment matters.

@boondockssaint21 honestly u didnt intentionally try to fail and still pass if ur talkign about the asvab cuz its multiple choice so not hard to fail or pass

@evilempireee512 Im pretty bumed about it too cause I scored higher an 85 on the asvab with 110 to 120 and one 135 on my line scores without any study aid. Could have had almost any job I wanted.

@evilempireee512 Thanks just finished meps today they said it wasn't a problem However apparently my hearing is total suck scored an H1 left H3e right. now I have to go see a civilian doctor about my ears and get a waiver for hearing loss. Just hope my chances are good on that wavier although at this point im kinda worrying.

@thebluemaggot they do a full body screening. Not sure if it will disqualify you , but you may need a waiver,

Hello all I want to ask a question and I really need a good answer quick so if anybody can help I would greatly appreciate it. I am 27 and in perfect health. I am going to meps on Monday. During my medical pre screening with my recruiter he asked a few questions about my medical history and then had me read over and sign the medical prescreening form.I completely forgot to mention to him that I have an eggcorn sized fatty tumor (lipoma) on my side that hasn't been removed. Will this DQ me?
