Four policemen killed, probably by criminals. Just because you have a gun doesn't mean you're a criminal, and if more decent citizens carried guns, I guarantee less criminals would. The citizens we want to carry guns would NOT carry guns if the law demanded they didn't; but criminals still would... because, well, they're criminals... they break the law. Passing those laws makes us LESS safe; sure would be nice as a robber, murderer, or rapist to know that their victim doesn't have a gun on them.

If you carry a weapon openly its nothing wrong with being Identified. Cops are Identified per the uniform they wear. Cops wear a badge around their necks if not in uniform. If you carry a firearm openly, shouldn;t he public know you are licensed or who you say you are, by simply letting the cops know who you are. If you don't then any gang banger will now just carry his illegal firearm openly and can tell all cops to get away from his face.
