  • @redgruntlefurieux are you thanking for dying and his death contributing to the mood of the album?

  • masterful minimalist guitar work here, evocative and deep music, profoundly simple but lushly dense, dark and warm, cold and pretty, this and PCL have commanded countless listenings. new order is proof that a musician doesn't have to have a lot of classical theory or technical chops to create musical works that are deeply meaningful

  • If U were BORN in the 80's U cannot compare greatness between The Cure & New Order. AND to speak of Depeche Mode in the same paragraph makes U ignorant. If U R from L.A. then U know Depeche Mode is a Religion!!! The Cure is in a different class & cannot b compared. Joy Division gave birth 2 New Order after a tragedy that touched the world with the most sampled & kick ass song that ever was written about that tragedy. Do your homework & don't speak unless U know what the fuck ur talking about.

  • Ultimate Joy Division. I can imagine IC worrying about the chords...

  • @InflamateChristianos Nice rhythm...

  • @handsomedevil98 It is reminiscent of him. Let's pretend.

  • @pistolpimp36 The Cure and New Order always sounded like each other trying to sound like each other. Listen to A Forest - came out the same time as New Order's Movement. New Order paid tribute to that when releasing Sunrise in 85. I would listen to Bernard over Smith any day of the week, but there is room for both in the world.

  • "Disintegration" by The Cure came out in 1989 . Most of my friends ( born in 86' like me btw) think this sounds like The Cure because their older brothers and sisters didn't listen to New Order or VERY little New Order apparently . That's what I told them. It's a shame my generation needed to be spoonfed music. BTW I'm from LA Depeche Mode , The Smiths and The Cure rule over the greatness that is New Order over here for some reason. BLAH!
