Mulberry West bedding is filled with Grade A mulberry silk. Mulberry silk contains sericin, a protein that repels bed bugs, dust mites, mold and mildew.

In today's warming world, bed bugs and other insects are becoming more problematic. Mulberry West comforters are designed to repel insects more better than a down comforter. Here's why...

Goose and duck down comforters were originally developed in cold climates, where insects were not a problem. Mulberry silk comforters were developed in warmer climates, where people needed a material that bugs would not enjoy.

Let's see what the bugs think about down vs mulberry silk! This video clearly shows that bed bugs prefer to live in down, not in Mulberry West silk. Thanks for the answer, bugs.

And besides being bed-bug resistant, Mulberry West comforters and blankets are also hypoallergenic, lightweight and breathable.

  • Bed bugs don't like the mulberry silk's natural protein called sericin. The silk cocoon is a protective environment for the silkworm against parasites, making the silk strands the perfect fiber for protective bedding.
