Then choose a different game? Need for speed shift has very nice visuals and also has shifting, braking, clutch, and gas pedal animations.

yea but it is definitely distracting and pretty annoying to people like me. i like perfection in games like this and flight simulator which i know is hard to obtain but im just like that i pay more attention to the smaller details like shifting and interiors.

There is no shifting animations in Forza 3 cockpit view. I know what you're thinking, sounds lame. But Turn 10 was probably having some glitches with it, and they would rather take something as small as shifting animations, out of the game to make sure the gameplay stays smooth.
