m1spike, what a good little government educated robot you are!
One of the ways government gets and keeps it power is with the help of intellectual enablers like Keynes.

Take the "tea party" to the next level - National!
If you're fed up, send a single tea bag to the White House with a note attached, "Repeal the stimulus bill. Eliminate all "pork barrel" spending. Preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution."
Spread the word.
Send on Friday, March 13th and Washington will have to take notice that the citizenry, the voters, are not pleased.
Be polite and send to:
President Barack Obama
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW
Washington, DC 20500

Hoover did not cut taxes. He raised taxes, tried to maintain wage levels at the expense of business, increased spending and signed the worst trade tariffs in the history of the US, Smoot-Hawley.
"During the campaign, Roosevelt blasted Hoover for spending and taxing too much, boosting the national debt, choking off trade, and putting millions of people on the dole."

Man looks and sounds unhinged in this video. One thing I've noticed during economic downturn is that a lot of commentators unapologetically rant against New York. What's up with that? Well, people instinctively understand that NYC will probably be
the last place in a whole wide world to go below, so subconciously, they wish they'd be there when the damn thing begins to
unravel. Hell, New Yorkers went through WTC being destroyed above their heads. What's another 500 point drop in some DOW?

The policies that started the depression are in many ways being replicated. We had a president that increased taxes (cap and trade will raise cost of energy, a back-door tax to all of us users)and spending(Obama has greatly increased the debt. If anything the current administration has used fear to push all this spending. And for what? We could pay 90% of EVERYONES mortgages in the US with this DEBT. Fear can be helpful. Fight or flight.

To encourage self-reliance is bad? You can be as giving with your own money or property as you like. But when man ceases to be reliant on himself, he is a slave. Ayn Rand's message can be summed up in TWO parts.
1:Take care of your own business. Do what it takes to handle your affairs. Don't wait around for others to do for you what you can do for yourself.
2:Do not force thers to your way of thinking and mandate others to do your will and not take others property.

Mot - Looks like you forgot to take your meds. What a fear-mongering FREAK! Look at all his old videos, and you'll see how his predictions are just a bunch of lies. MOT = Man of LIES.
God bless Rick Santelli. If there were a fan club, I'd be a member!

My instinct tells me you're correct, but it's all too outrageous to be real.

Truth is stranger than fiction.

We tried your laissez-faire approach for 3 years from 1929-1932. Hoover cut taxes, cut spending, and balanced the budget. The result? 25% unemployment in 1932. No thanks! I'll stick with keynesianism, which is proven to work.
PS: it's funny watching you pretend like keynesianists are beneath you and are idiots when really keynesianism is the generally accepted economics and you are the one on the fringe.

That is true. It is generally accepted and THAT IS WHY are economy HAS COLLAPSED!!!!!
