This episode of Good Bad Flicks is about the horror film Stay Alive. Stay Alive is an excellent movie that was almost ruined by it's producers. Originally intended to be an R rated film, when it was released in theaters it was cut to PG-13. I take a look at the vastly superior unrated cut and point out the many differences between the two versions.

  • Just wondering have you seen H20 Halloween: 20 Years Later and if you have what were your thoughts on it

  • @HorrorFan382 I liked H20 a lot. I thought they did a really nice job of tying up the whole series and giving it an end. Then they went and ruined it by retconning the whole thing with Resurrection.

  • How many more lives must the Iron Rat destroy? How many?!

If Disney wants to hide its evil corporate apparatus behind a family friendly easy to digest image, they probably should not be making R rated films. I am sooooo glad they don't own Dimension any more!

Disney making horror films? Does everyone die by falling off of something?

  • @radioblueheart The funny thing is most folks wouldn't have even known it was Disney that owned the parent corp so they could have released it as intended. Or god forbid they make a horror movie with the intention of it being PG-13 from the start. Nothing will screw up a movie like filming it R and then editing to PG-13. They F'd up Cursed too.

  • @trachenburg Was it the studio that forced them to switch effects companies and rewrite it during the shoot? That film had potential but it was wasted!

  • @radioblueheart they filmed the entire movie but the studio wasn't happy so they rewrote almost 80% of the film. They removed some characters, while others they enhanced their parts. Then they tried to mash the whole thing together and wondered why it was an incomprehensible mess.

  • @noahw66 If Disney didn't screw with it, it would have done much better. (bad reviews killed it...which was Disney's fault for altering the friggin movie) There was a game planned but it was scrapped. I would have liked it too, the mix of survival horror with FPS would have been innovative back then.

Anyone who likes games would like this movie. I wish more folks would check it out.

Oh and lol, no I wouldn't want the curse part either.

  • Man I love this movie its great for gamers. I had no idea the theatrical version was so different from the unrated version and that Disney was involved with it. I always wished that the game was real cause it looked really fun, except for the whole cursed part.

  • @trachenburg If I ever get allot of money.. I might make one ^_^

  • @chrstilen5 That would be amazing!
