[Dance Marathon 2010] Rhythm of Change Dance Crew 2.0

Dance Marathon is a fundraiser in order to raise money for UC Davis' Children's Hospital. :] We were approached and asked to create a performance that revolved around the theme of "Superheroes." Hence, we set out to try something we'd really never done before. :P

Concept: Everyone starts out together in black, then when everyone rips their shirts off you see the color separation of red and blue. The color separation is used in order to create two teams; the blue shirted people played the superheroes whilst the ones who doned red played the part of the villians. At the end, everyone comes together once again (after a lot of fighting :P) and the superheroes reign superior (hence the forced crash after the flip at the end). For comedic effect, a ninja (Eric Nguyen) runs in at the end and tackles the superhero, and the entire crew exits as ninjas :DD

Note: The first performance it was way too dark which not only made everyone nervous but it took away from the choreography because you can't see everything :( The second performance everyone was tired after having been at ML to practice since 10 that morning (the second performance was at 9:40, the first at 4:45) haha. ohh welllll.
