Rite-Aid workers Ignacio Meza and Carlos Rubio thank the ILWU and other unions who joined in the final push to convince workers at the million-square-foot warehouse in Lancaster to organize into a union. Rarely do workers win elections under the rules laid out by the NLRB, as the deck is stacked in favor of companies. But workers in Lancaster voted by a 283-to-261 margin to join the INTERNATIONAL LONGSHORE AND WAREHOUSE UNION.
