Beware of the Ninja Cat... The Ninja Cat knows all... The Ninja Cat sees all...

You missed my point. I had in mind "TENCHU 4 and WII? That's Last thing i ever imagine or think about". It's not allways about the Graphics ;).

Tenchu 3 > All.

Reasons why they also changed the gameplay is that they wanted the players to feel as if they are actually more into the stealth of a ninja, sometimes you don't even need a sword to kill someone, hell rikimaru can just snap their necks and kill them still. Ayame can just use her advantage of her own flexibility just to kill them. Im guessing they changed it so they can try to take the players more into the game. But really its mainly just about the storyline.

People and Wii gawd... =/
Tenchu and wiii still good and the wii is pretty good.
I think people who don't have the wii think wii is too much work "I don't feel like moving the remote." wii makes it harder and challenged...
WTF WHY AM I HAVING A SPEECH ABOUT WII? XDD forget it..

Interesting point. I can't blame them for changing the gameplay but I also can't help but feel as if they lost part of their replay value in making it the way it is. The old Tenchu series could be played in a run and hack and slash manner, go undetected and kill everything, or go and not get seen at all and beat the level. I've always felt that fights are a very fun way to enjoy Tenchu and if it's absent it's just missing a big portion of the game for me ;p
I love the glitching samurai in the beginning. What a horrible trailer for a horrible game. All the of the others were great, but this one was crap.

@herpasivalitus I respectfully disagree, K2 was driving the series into the ground. Fatal Shadows being sub-par and Tenchu Z was the final nail in the coffin as it had no story, no Ayame, very little Rikimaru, overlycomplicated controls, glitch ridden amateur graphics, terrible and few boss fights, and annoyingly repetitive missions. (Notice: I don't count the DS and XBLA games, those are not video games... they are the Wrath of Hell).

@AlucardsQuest
While its true Tenchu Z really had no story, I thought it was pretty fun compared to Tenchu 4. It had combat skills from earlier games, which made the game both entertaining and challenging to play. Its' controls also gave a lot more control over character and generally made the whole experience smoother. The only downside I'd say would be the missions. Though, I really would like to see a cross between Z and 4, Z's gameplay with 4's story but definitely not for the Wii.

@nugety I think the Wii is done anyway. Although I wouldn't mind seeing Tenchu for WiiU.

finally this is the TRUE sequel! it definitely has a feel of the original tenchu games even w/ the music. this game is almost really a masterpiece if it only wasn't for the story mode that has only 10 missions. it's quite short compared to the other games. but everything else is so well-made like the music, graphics, plot and gameplay. it has multiple endings and tenchu fans should definitely check them out.. when I finished this game, I couldn't wait to see the next sequel.

And I'm pretty sure there will be more sequels on the Wii, or at least that's the rumor. It would be nice to have it on 360 though... the series hasn't been well represented on that console.
