  • mtd have owned cub cadet since 1981 its nothing new . and all cub cadets are made in the united states . in cleveland ohio and tennessee . mtd does not make any equipment overseas .

  • I have to admit that the shaft drive has always been a great feature. I cant understand why cub isn't pushing their new fabricated mowing decks. It's a good idea but i can't find any good info on them. I hope that it dose not use a timed blade system. What gauge is it? Husqvarna started using 11 gauge fab. decks about 2 years ago and they did a great job. A lot of plastic on these cubs for the money though.

  • i like my dad's early 2000 or late 90's not sure which, i just like older models like my dad's silverado compared to newer ones

  • i have a cub cadet LTX 1045

  • lots and lots of plastic. i wouldnt touch one with a 10 foot pole, sorry. i have a 1971 cub cadet 147 built by international harvester .wouldnt trade it for ANYTHING

  • @MiStaVP05

i looked at a Cub last year had MTD on the tag

and as i understand it CUB CADET is an independant branch of MTD

im not to sure where they're built

i collect the oldest of cubs 1960-1969 tractors

the above video looks to be one of the better designs taken under MTD ownership

they brought the shaft drive back into play which is smart,

after all thats what made the IH built cubs famous way back when they first came into

    the garden tractor Market

  • Where are Cub Cadet's Riding Mowers made? I know other manufacturers (namely MTD) have shifted operations overseas, and that plays a huge part in my consideration when buying a product. Thanks!
