here in Canada, you can make a doc appointment, and its all covered by the gov. if u have any type of cancer, and need chemo or what-have-you, its all covered by the gov. basically, everything aside from plastic surgery is covered by our gov. Universal health care is awesome!

Yeah, similar in New Zealand. I pay about $35 to visit the doctor. Children up to 6yrs old free. Unemployed, elderly and low income get discount. Most meds are $3 but that's going up to $5 soon. Check out our tax rates:

I am so glad I live in Norway... Over here all medical bills are payed by the government. You pay a small fee every time you see a doctor - about 20 dollar (maximum 200 dollars a year - included needed medications, I think). Children, pregnant women, elderly and unemployed doesn't have to pay the fee. We pay about 30% taxes, but I think that's fine. We get medical treatment, school + university and so on for free.
