@MrXray2011 you are so wrong!! Indian being able to afford an A/C has nothing to do with UK aid and plz get over your colonial mentality.

@MrXray2011 First of all, it’s not “billions”... it’s a paltry £280 million per annum. That’s what our top cricketer makes through endorsements and it’s half of what India gives in aid to Afghanistan. India has clearly told the UK that it doesn’t require the aid due to the negative publicity of Indian poverty promoted by the UK’s DFID. But apparently, and I quote the Sunday Telegraph, “the British begged them(Indians) to keep taking the money”.

@MrXray2011 What are you smoking? You're correct in saying that both carriers will be built with the QE being used as a training ship. What happens after that is unknown, either it'll be sold or it'll eventually be upgraded to CATOBAR, there's no guarantee or confirmation on the future of QE. The government have NOT put away 'billions' to invest in defence when the economy picks up, all savings made through cuts are to remove the £38 billion funding gap the MoD inherited from the last government

@abh3092 Then by all means invest in the military and space programmes, I have nothing against other countries joining the list of super powers in the world, however at the moment india has massive poverty issues and I just feel like they should be taking care of that before investing in other areas.

@DarknessUnofficial Confirmed; the Royal Navy will get both QE Class' currently being built. HMS QE will be STOVL and HMS PoW will be CATOBAR. Sailors will be trained on HMS QE whilst PoW is being finished, then HMS QE will be converted into CATOBAR. The possibility of a third is a possibility and may happen. The government has put billions away to invest in the military when the economy picks up. I have not denied that this carrier will not be good, I know that it will be.

@abh3092 I am ignorant? We have diseases in the UK, yes but we irradicated many. Our debt it currently around 70%, not 400%. British debt is going up but by 2020 debt by % of GDP will be as low as 50%. The UK is building a manufacturing basis up again and we will be back on track!!! So you don't want the UK to send India money becuase we could save it, like you suggested. Although we don't give you that much. Britain has enough money, unlike Greece.
-
@MrXray you are not anti-india,you are ignorant!even people in UK suffer from diseases unheard in india,so don't need to be so charitable, take care of your own before helping others,we have clearly mentioned we don't need your peanuts, keep it for yourself since your country has 400% external debt and thats how rich you are.feed your people before thinking about others, india is destined to be a superpower, but,mr,your country is destined for a hard landing,so save money for the uncertain future.

@MrXray2011 I've got no idea what relevance any of your comment has to mine. I'm not Indian. You're just completely wrong facts wise. There's no way the UK is getting 3 carriers, the UK will be lucky to end up with 2. Why does every military YouTube video have to descend into petty dick measuring contests? The Indian carrier will be good, as will the British ones, end of.

@DeadMemories03 what if india provides better quality of life as well as invests in space and military??
-
@abh3092 I agree that India being able to afford an a carrier doesn't have anything to do with the UK but I do believe it should look at providing a better quality of life for all who live there before looking at becoming a military power and investing in a space programme etc.

@abh3092 For fuck sake... you all seem to think that I am anti- India. I love India and Indians and I do not care whether our money pays for anything the fact is there are people in India dying from illnesses that we have not had in the UK for hundreds of years. The NHS is free and Policing has got better, thanks to the Conservative government. I do not believe that you know what you are talking about with reguard to the UK. We are not bankrupt and are richer than India.
