A British Muslim group has urged the government to put pressure on its Saudi allies to protect Shia pilgrims during the hajj. The Islamic Human Rights Commission says those Muslims who do not follow the Saudi state's version of Islam are often harrassed in Mecca. Roshan Muhammed Salih in London has more on this story.

  • @enesog Let us be brothers upon faith - brothers who only worship Allaah, without associating any partner with Him in His Lordship or His Worship.

This is unlike Christians, Sufis, Shias, Hindus and the Mushrikeen (polytheists/ pagans) described in the Qur'aan - all of whom direct(ed) their worship to created beings.

    Take care!

  • @enesog You're right there is no discussion, because those who direct their worship to humans, have therefore taken humans as ilaahs (gods/ deities/ objects of worship) besides Allaah

Some Sufis & Shias direct DUA (supplication/invocation) to human beings who died many centuries ago, at illegal shrines built above graves

But DUA is an act of worship, so if a person directs DUA to others besides Allaah, then that person has taken others besides Allaah as ilaahs- That is Shirk (polytheism)

  • @enesog Thank you for your comments

The foundational statement of Islaam in Arabic (transliterated into English) is:

LAA ILAAHA ILLALLAAH - This translates as: There is no ilaah except Allaah

The meaning of "ilaah" = god, deity, object of worship

So "Laa ilaaha illallaah" means: There is no (true) god/ deity/ object of worship except Allaah

Effectively this means: None has the right to be worshipped except Allaah

    Take care my brother

  • @trenchraiding You just hit the nail on the head right there. You are 100 % right !!

    There is no discussion.

  • @trenchraiding You are absolutely right !! I agree 100 % !!

  • The act of DUA is an act of worship from the many acts of worship in Islaam.

Therefore, dua/ supplication, can only be directed to Allaah.

If a person supplicates to other than Allaah, for any reason (eg. help, protection, intercession etc), then a person who does this has given a share of his worship to other than Allaah and thus associated partners with Allaah in worship - That is Shirk (polytheism/ associating partners with Allaah).

DUA is a type of devotion which is THE SOLE RIGHT OF ALLAAH

  • Muslims worship Allaah alone, without associating any partners with Allaah. This includes the fact the supplication/ DUA/ invocation can only be directed to Allaah

In Islaam - it is FORBIDDEN to supplicate to any created being or object

In Islaam - Only Allaah - Who is the sole Lord, Creator and Provider of all things - Only He can be prayed/ supplicated to

It is the Mushrikeen (polytheists/ pagans/ those who associate partners in worship with Allaah) who supplicate to created beings & objects

  • Shia worship graves in saudi arabia, they are like sheeps not easy to be controlled
