@tym3ze As long as the board is in general good condition ultrasonic bath is not required but it certainly will not hurt.
-
All ultrasonic cleaners use a detergent – water mixture. What is critical is clean rinse and thorough drying before the board is powered back on.

Hi, after the ultrasonic bath, you say you rinsed it off with water? Is it ok to do that? Obviously there is no power in the board, but is that safe?

What is the liquid in the 1 hour bath thing?

@tym3ze Well is good so there is no flux around from before, and you dont heat that and become grease board. Also that can catch dust and dust has micro metallic particles, and all that. So before any procedure is always good to clean. Is like eating, you chose if you wash your hands or not, but the wash is always the good thing to do.
